A Collaboration Between Patients and Clinicians

Knot-1.jpgThis website is a joint collaboration between bronchiectasis patients and the clinicians who treat them.  The aim is to share widely the experience which has been built up in recent years in the treatment of bronchiectasis at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh clinic and to share this with a wider audience. This website is intended for patients with bronchiectasis and their carers.

It was created in 2014 and is currently being up-dated by the Lothian Bronchiectasis MCN group. The patient support group have been closely involved in the development.

The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh

The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is a centre of excellence in treating bronchiectasis through a multi-disciplinary team involving clinicians, physiotherapists, specialist nurses and pharmacists.  The growing body of patients attending the bronchiectasis clinic has also permitted extensive research into new and improved treatments for bronchiectasis.  Clinical researchers continue to explore new treatments.
