Medication – And other concerns

I worry about the cocktail of drugs I take – because I have several things wrong with me and have separate medicines for each.

This will be checked by both your GP and hospital doctors who will ensure no alterations are needed.  They will prescribe a change of medication if necessary.

What should I do if I miss a dose of a drug – say an antibiotic for a chest infection?

Try to take the full course of antibiotics as prescribed.  If a dose is missed – get back onto the normal routine as soon as possible.  Don’t take a double dose of antibiotics if you have missed the previous one.

Often I feel better on my regular medication and feel able to stop it- should I stop them?

A bad idea.  Only stop if you come to the end of your prescribed course or under instructions from your GP or clinic doctor.  Follow your treatment plan to the letter.
